Most computer user uses both old and new software on their computer. If you are using applications that are too outdated, your operating system might face problem while executing these applications. This may result in errors, freeze ups or the program may completely stop working. To fix this issue, you can visit the vendor’s site and look for new updates of that application. Upgrading the application will most probably solve this compatibility issue.
Run Program in Compatibility:
Some software problems can be solved by running the application in compatibility mode. Right click on the program icon and go to Properties. Select Compatibility and then check the box that terms Run this program in Compatibility Mode. Select the Operating System that you want to run this application with from the drop down list. You can retain your current settings by modifying other options listed there. After making all the required changes, click OK.
