Why using different accounts is better?
Using different accounts means that you will have all your settings, files and system permissions private.
Application settings:
If you have been using single account for all the users, then all your browsing activity can be seen by all. Your online accounts can also be used by other users, if you are logged into your accounts. Let’s not forget the bookmarks, the browsing history, etc.—everything that you can think in your browser. The same story goes with all the programs of your system. However, if there is a dedicated user account, then many of the programs will use different settings for every user.
Files:
There comes no security when files are concerned in a shared computer. All your files can be accessed by all the users, who log into your computer. If you have an individual account, then your files cannot be viewed by any other user. However, administrator users have all permissions to access your files.
How do multiple accounts work?
When multiple accounts are created, you can log into the computer through the Windows login screen and use all the accounts simultaneously. You can run programs on the desktop of one account and switch to another account to work on that particular account.
Every user account stores the account details in a user specific application folder and in this folder, all settings and programs are stored in this folder. So, nobody can touch your personal files other than you.
